Enjoying the food or enjoying the life?
Some thoughts came up to me today after I've enjoyed a delicious lunch: what if we would strive for the interesting things in life sometimes instead of putting another tasty bit in our mouth? In routine of the day it's easy to search for a moment of relief and relaxation in something tasty. More challanging task is to invest this time and energy in longlasting goals and implementation of exciting ideas.
Take a pause: make a long breath when you want to take this cookie. Think: what we really want is a deep satisfaction and content. Is there anyone who will be really happy hearing your voice in the telephone? Is there some idea that will enrich the world and you can dedicate this break to starting implementation of this one? Whatever makes you feel meaningful, needed and fulfilling a deeper purpose can help you switching our habbit of giving up long lasting goals for the pleasure of a short moment.
Not the least what can help us is to realize how much pleasure it gives to have this active, useful and nice body. How much pleasure you can give to your partner and how many flirting and recharging glances you are going to see around you ;) ! It is worth so much more! And it lasts, giving us more and more energy - forming a positive circle.
It's so energyzing to see clearly when you wake up: what you can be, what you really are - active, caring, giving, beutiful person having an amazing potential to making benefit for others! You can keep reminding yourself throughout the day how wonderful that you can have such an attitude to life! You can wish to be even more happy and useful!
